Verónica Hernández Sánchez is currently data science consultant at Seidor. She graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Castilla La Mancha (2010), having completed a Master’s Degree in Industrial Process Engineering at the UCLM (Madrid, 2011) and another Master’s Degree in Biotechnology at the UGR (Granada, 2012). In 2016 she obtained her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the UGR and the CSIC.
Her passion for data and knowledge has led her to pursue a Master in Big Data Analytics-MBI at UEM (Madrid, 2018). The goal of her thesis, one of the projects awarded at the Big Data and Cybersecurity Challenge of Telefónica’s CDO, has been to study the influence of atmospheric pollution on human health.
She especially likes how data science can be applied in the fields of health and the environment because she believes that new technologies can significantly improve people’s lives. In addition, she is the founder of the community Data Scientists and member of the Puentes Digitales community. She has recently entered the world of Kaggle competitions to expand her knowledge in data science in a practical way.
