Oleksii Starov

Oleksii Starov is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Stony Brook University, New York. He works in the PragSec Lab advised by Prof. Nick Nikiforakis. Oleksii’s research focuses on web privacy and security, and most of his projects are about investigating online threats, from privacy intrusions and censorship to all other cybercrimes. In 2013 he got his M.S. degree in Software Engineering from East Carolina University, USA, and M.S. in Computer Engineering from National Aerospace University ‘KhAI’, Ukraine – both with university honors. Back in Ukraine, Oleksii was a CTO of a mobile startup company, and took part in a variety of programming competitions.
